I personally still love receiving handwritten cards in the mail. It most certainly beats bills, junk mail, and expired coupons from Bed Bath and Beyond. After getting a request from long time friend Kristen Noel to make custom thank you cards I embarked on a new creative journey. Together, we found a design and color scheme that matched her growing success of a business BEST SELF MAGAZINE . We continued to talk on this subject of greeting cards while sipping our hot Matchas and realized the need for elegant but simple sympathy cards. So I went home and dug through my wonderful craft closet to find the right materials. One hour later, I had found sheet music, vintage books, buttons, water color paper, and the inspiration to begin. One thing I can do is run with a concept. Maybe it’s my background of colorways and variations of designs during my textile career, or my unshakable desire to create. But whatever it is, I get an idea in my head and let it fly. The rest as they say is history. I now have a large (and growing) selection of cards for sale. I have everything from women empowerment and good luck cards to sympathy and thinking of you cards. These cards are just one of my new favorite things to create. But as Martha Stewart says, “Without an open-minded mind, you can never be a great success.”
Here are just a few of my favorite cards I’ve made so far. Can you tell how much fun I’ve been having?
On these dates I will have these for sale along with other items.
